Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Annette Wheeler
Hello and thank you for visiting my page!
Originally a Floridian, I have been in Chattanooga since graduating David Lipscomb College with a degree in Elementary Education. I continued my education at UTC earning a Masters of Special Education (gifted) degree and then an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from NOVA Southeastern University. I have taught in several elementary and middle schools in Hamilton County and North Georgia. Over the years, I have taught every grade level (k-12) and every core subject area (math, English, Science, Social studies).
Currently, I am one of the exceptional education teachers here at Hixson High. As well as being the case manager for several students, I co-teach in several math and English classes. I also teach a Transitions class for 9th graders to assist in their adjustment to high school.
I believe that we all have strengths and weaknesses that make us unique and capable individuals. I enjoy helping students reach their academic goals and will do whatever I can to assist them.
When I’m not busy preparing for and tutoring students, I’m active with church or family activities, as my husband and I are the parents of 7 grown children and 4 granddaughters.
Supplies Needed: Paper, pencil/pen, chromebook, cooperative attitude
